Like all of our instruments our high-end archtop "JazzPest" is hand-made of full solid materials as old stock German Moonspruce and old stock European Maple from Bosnia (20+ years old cello wood).
- 17-inch width at lower bout, 24.6´´ /625 mm scale for lower tension for advanced fingerpicking
- One soundport in the upper bout
- 5-piece multi-layer neck of flamed maple with ebony inserts "wedge-style" (adding additional stiffness)
- Bridge, tailpiece, fingerboard, headplate and fingerrest made of ebony
- Multiple binding of flamed maple and ebony around the top and back, heelcap and f-holes
- Multi-layer rear of headstock (see pic below)
- One (floating) Schaller JazzHumbucker with adjustable pole pieces, attached to the end of the neck
- Thumbwheel pots for Volume and Tone hidden below the armrest
- Gold hardware incl. endpin jack, gold tuners with ebony buttons
- Thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish (high gloss)
We take care in creating this outstanding intrument "Made in Germany" for you. We do them one-by-one and by hand.
This guitar was played by Tornado Rosenberg during a private visit and he liked it so much that he borrought it and will use it on his next record. Update June 2010: Tornado is currently using this guitar for recordings.
